Events

The National Prisons Hepatitis Network was established in 2017 to connect experts and key stakeholders from the Australian prison sector involved in hepatitis care for people in prison. Each year, the NPHN hosts an annual workshop, virtual events, and sessions at relevant national and jurisdictional scientific conferences.

ANNUAL WORKSHOP

The NPHN Annual Workshop is a one-day event held each year to bring together NPHN members with the goal of fostering collaboration and advancing the national prison-based hepatitis C elimination agenda. The workshop aims to facilitate connections and networking among members, share innovative prison-based models of care, and provide updates on best practices. It also offers an opportunity to showcase current or recent projects and set priorities for the year ahead.

The workshop serves as an important platform to ensure that efforts are coordinated at the national level, influencing policy and infrastructure changes that propel the prison-based hepatitis C elimination agenda forward. The workshop is an invite-only event, and attendees are expected to report the outcomes and activities of the workshop back to their respective jurisdictions and organizations.

WEBINAR

Each year, the NPHN hosts a virtual event (webinar, interactive discussion activity, panel sessions, etc) focussing on a priority topic. The goal of the virtual events is to engage NPHN members in information and knowledge exchange and discussion regarding key NPHN priorities.
